At Green Daisy Soaps, we’re always looking for ways to reduce waste and keep packaging out of landfills. Our Recycling Program makes it easy to give your empty containers a second life and say thank you with a reward.

How It Works

Bring your clean, empty Green Daisy Soaps containers or bottles to us at any in-person event and choose your between:

Why We Do It

Green Daisy Soaps was built on curiosity, science, and a genuine desire to do better. As the formulator behind every product, Sarah’s background in chemistry and sustainability shapes how we think about ingredients, packaging, and waste.

Through her studies in chemistry and sustainability, Sarah became especially interested in the impact of single-use plastics in the cosmetic industry and the lack of accessible alternatives. Our recycling program is one small way we’re working to reduce waste, extend the life of our packaging, and encourage more thoughtful consumption.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Putting the Three R's Into Action

When it comes to waste, less is more. We’re always striving to reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprint while creating exciting and colorful products just for you! Here are just a few ways we’re putting the three R’s into action!

Reduce

Reducing waste altogether is our first priority. Our artisan soaps and bath fizzies are packaged in Biolefin, a biodegradable and compostable shrink wrap. Biolefin decomposes between 1-3 years in normal landfill conditions, which reduces the overall plastic build up in our landfills!

When eliminating waste completely isn’t possible, we’re continually looking for ways to reduce the amount we need to create. Each order that is shipped from Green Daisy Soaps contains paper shred, biodegradable rice packing peanuts, which can be dissolved with water, or eco-friendly air pillows that can be recycled.

Recently we have switched to a packaging supplier that reduces the thickness of our clear plastic packaging. This small change has resulted in a huge amount of saved plastic, and hasn’t affected the quality or durability of our containers. It’s a win for the environment and for you!

Reuse

While we use eco-friendly ingredients in our soap, there are always slivers and waste from cutting our loaves and slabs of soap into the bars that you purchase. Some soapmakers and companies simply toss these tiny pieces, but we reuse them! We save each sliver of soap and either cut them into samples for our customers to try, or we melt them down and rebatch them into bars that we use at home or for laundry soap. You can do this too by saving each tiny piece from your artisan soap bars, smushing them together, and putting them into one of our reusable soap saver bags!

Recycle

Recycled and recyclable are two of our favorite words. Our shopping bags are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper, and are recyclable, reusable or compostable. Our business cards and other marketing materials are all printed on recycled paper and can be recycled again! Our shampoo bars come packaged in a post-consumer recycled paper carton that can be recycled again and our conditioner bars come in recyclable aluminum tins.

Each one of our containers and bottles are made from BPA-free 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, and can be reused or recycled.​​​
